After many long, cold winter month’s spring finally arrived, and with it brought my little pink bundle of joy, Ashlynn. Any of you girly girls out there with a daughter or grand-daughter know all about what I’m going to say next. You can’t have a beautiful baby girl and NOT dress her up! Girls NEED things like bows, dresses, sparkle and SAS! Hence my addiction to www.etsy.com. Specifically, I was like a bee drawn to honey when it came to www.etsy.com/shop/Snazziedrawers . I became obsessed with the beautiful bows, clothes, and bibs!!! To my dismay, Snazziedrawers only sells patterns, but I wanted the exquisite bows and headbands for Miss Ashlynn.
After a week of longingly gazing at the products I couldn’t BUY I finally decided to TRY. I bought the simplest pattern… The Juliette La Fleur. Yes, that’s right, the patterns are named as beautifully as they look. Joy, the creator of Snazziedrawers, has developed a thorough pattern that even non-sewers like me can follow. I had such fun following the pattern that I have been making at least one flower every night since. We shall see where this takes me... I’m hoping to sell my handmade creations. Of course, being a perfectionist I want to practice until I get the technique just right. Check out Joy’s exquisite masterpieces at www.etsy.com/shop/Snazziedrawers to see the items I hope to make, and the work I have to live up to. Anyhow, I think I did pretty well. This is my first flower made from leftover fabric from my wedding. What do you think? I can’t wait to hear your comments!
VERY CUTE!!! Looks great for your first one! I can't wait to see more! :)
