This means that Earth Angel is alive and growing! Now, I hope I haven’t lost you with the growing plant metaphor, but it was the best way to describe this process. I will try to explain…
The seed I refer to was the beginning of an idea. Last fall I began brainstorming ideas about opening a business. My only problem… what kind of business? Like I said before, I have many different pulls (or interests). Having started the family I’ve always wanted, I found myself wanting more. Along my journey, I discovered that in order to be the Mama I want to be I have to dream and set goals for myself. Maybe it’s because of them that I have developed another obsession- Recycle-Reduce-Reuse. It makes me feel good! That same feeling you get when you leave church on Sunday morning is the same feeling I get when I see three full recycling bins at the end of my driveway alongside one lonely trash bag. Hehe…
I started researching methods of recycling, which took me in many different directions. Did you know that there is a right and wrong way to recycle? There are also many items that recycling companies do NOT accept based on where you live. Anyhow, I had fun learning about recycling, but I really got excited when I started researching ALL of the different consumer products that are being developed using recycled materials! It is amazing what you can find now from gorgeous glassware to energy efficient insulation for your home. The possibilities are endless!
So, I thought how can I combine my love for recycling with a decade of retail management experience? I had always dreamed of opening my own store. Thus, planting the seed.
